Welcome to The Carmenians Musical Theatre Company

The Carmenians Musical Theatre Company is one of the leading Amateur Musical Theatre Companies in Plymouth. We are an established company who were formed over 50 years ago (for more info see our About Us page). We welcome new members both front and back stage and aim to motivate our members and allow them to gain and improve their skills.

We typically present two major productions a year with concerts in-between. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7.30pm at St Simons Church Hall, Farringdon Road, Plymouth.

Last Train to Broadway is a musical revue featuring some of the more unusual Tony Award winning shows from the last thirty years. Following the success of Jekyll and Hyde, this talented cast return in a fascinating portrayal of life in the big city.

From the trash can alley ways of Skid Row to the oasis and relative tranquillity of a city park, this revue (premiering in Plymouth) features material from Broadway productions with an astonishing 127 Tony Award nominations.

Lovers of musical theatre will be treated to a diverse programme of moving, hilarious and spine tingling numbers from song writers including Kander and Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cy Coleman and Flaherty and Ahrens.

So for an exciting surprising and exhilarating evening of some of the best songs that Broadway has to offer, make sure that you don't miss the Last Train to Broadway.
